A student journey built with busy adults in mind

Most of our students are balancing some combination of work, life, and family.

We get it—and we don’t think those things should stand in the way of getting a degree. In fact, we think having one foot in the real world makes you an even stronger student—as long as the program is built with you in mind.

We get it—and we don’t think those things should stand in the way of getting a degree. In fact, we think having one foot in the real world makes you an even stronger student—as long as the program is built with you in mind.

We offer rolling admission 6 times each year.

Student Journey

Confirm your eligibility

All you need is a US high school diploma or GED, or an international diploma with passing TOEFL scores. There is no GPA requirement, no entrance exam, and no additional criteria to qualify. If you’ve completed some college coursework, you may be able to transfer credits.

At the end of this step, you’ll be ready to meet our team and make a plan.

Make an enrollment plan

Meet with our team to learn more about degree programs, plan how you’ll pay for college (including exploring financial aid), navigate credit transfer, and more. Our team will walk you through your options and help you choose the path that fits your goals and needs.

SNHU accepts up to 45 credits for an Associate of Arts and up to 90 credits for a Bachelor of Arts. However, not all credits are transferable. Our team can help you with the credit transfer process, along with all the necessary documentation for enrollment with SNHU.

At the end of this step, you’ll register for school—but you won’t yet be making tuition payments.

Try it for free (really!)

All Degree Partners students start with a 4-week, no-risk Academic Onboarding (AO) period. We want you to know exactly what you’re getting into so you can make an informed choice about investing in college.

In AO, you can get familiar with the program and online learning, meet your coach, and start building or strengthening study habits that will set you up for success. You’ll also get to start your actual coursework, and get a sense of whether CBE is right for you. This work counts towards your degree, but it will not yet cost anything. Think of it as a chance to build clarity and confidence before you commit financially.

At the end of this step, you’ll have already submitted at least one project, and you’ll be ready to take on more. You’ll know where to go and who to call any time you need help.

Earn your degree

We find our students need about 10–12 hours a week to move through their coursework. This is an average and a recommendation, but not a requirement. If you can dedicate more time, you can go faster. Your coach will walk alongside you the whole time.

At the end of this step, you’ll be a college graduate. (Let that sink in.)

Launch your next job, career, or degree

You’ll have access to a range of resources to help you prepare for your next step.

What Degree Partners provides:

  • Personalized coaching to help you explore career options, build confidence, and stay accountable in your search
  • Help updating your resume, writing cover letters, and preparing for interviews
  • Connections to local and national networking opportunities

What you receive as an SNHU student and graduate:

  • Access to Career 360, SNHU’s online career center, which includes career assessments, job boards, and training resources
  • A free Handshake account, where you can search for jobs, internships, and networking events nationwide
  • Lifetime access to SNHU career advisors and virtual career fairs

Pace & Progress

Your coach will walk beside you every step of the way, supporting you to:
Make your own weekly schedule
We find our students need, on average, about 10–12 hours/week. The more time you put in, the faster you can move.
Get to graduation
Among our graduates, the average time to complete an Associate of Arts (AA) was 21 months. Once students had an associate’s degree, either through Degree Partners + SNHU or from another institution, the average time to complete a Bachelor of Arts (BA) with us was, on average, just over 2 years later.
Hold steady, or accelerate
You can go as fast as you want, but not as slow as you want. Your coach will help you stay on track, making sure you understand the requirements for remaining eligible for financial aid.
Spend less money
Pace determines price: The faster you finish, the more you save. The more competencies you complete in a term, the more you make the most of that term’s tuition payment—and the fewer terms you pay for overall.
